Reach and RoHS

REACH and RoHS are two European regulations that restrict the use of hazardous chemicals in products, but with different scopes.

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is a general regulation that applies to almost all chemical substances in all types of products, requiring companies to register, assess their safety, and restrict or authorise substances of very high concern (SVHC).

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) is a specific directive for electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and restricts the use of substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium and others, to protect human health and the environment.

Charter of Values

The Ursus Charter of Values is the result of a lengthy process involving the company's resources and leading to the identification of a set of principles that guide and oversee work activities.

The purpose of the process is to provide useful behavioral guidance in the presence of doubts and uncertainties that may arise during daily activities, providing the necessary elements for adopting responsible and transparent conduct.

Ursus aims to maintain a high reputation, and to prevent individual actions from generating behaviors that are inconsistent with this objective, it is essential that everyone working within the company share these principles and implement appropriate behaviors.

The Charter of Values does not therefore aim to define a general regulatory framework, as laws and contractual agreements already define the scope of subjective obligations.

The document instead represents the identification of a common basis of values and behaviors in which we can recognize ourselves.

The Ursus Charter of Values is not intended to impact the sphere of individual values, which, in their diversity, represent a form of cultural enrichment. Rather, it aims to ensure that corporate life, and therefore the relationships between all its members, are based on the sharing of collective principles capable of defining a clear corporate identity.

The Ursus Charter of Values establishes principles that should guide the conduct of work. It provides a framework of values to be applied during critical moments in professional life and aims to serve as a point of reference in managing challenging and complex situations, not always governed by laws, regulations, and internal procedures, allowing for the free expression of each individual's professional individuality and fully respecting individual freedom.
