In Villabassa, the two-time world champion scored a fantastic hat-trick, winning in succession the Hero Südtirol Dolomites, the Alpentour Trophy and the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike.
The story of Leonardo Paez and the Dolomiti Superbike is a legendary one, studded with successes, the latest of which was a wonderful gift for his 41st birthday, which just happened to be here. The decisive moment, as is often the case in the Dolomiti Superbike, was the passage through Prato Piazza, where Paez launched the decisive attack and built up a nearly one-minute lead over his pursuers.
