Alberto Maffei is an Olympic snowboarder specialised in Big Air and Slopestyle. He has participated in some of the world's most important competitions, with a professional career that started when he was just 15, when he debuted in the Snowboarding World Cup held in the Czech Republic.
In 2017, he finished among the top 10 in two different editions of the Big Air World Cup: in Milan, he came 7th, and then 9th at Mönchengladbach, Germany.
His Olympic debut was in the 2018 edition in Pyeongchang, as the only Italian in the snowboard freestyle competitions. This experience earned him 24th place in the overall standings.
His dedication to sport pushes him to train consistently, in every season of the year. In spring and summer he continues to train with focus on road cycling, along the routes of his native soil in Italy's Trentino. Alberto indeed loves outdoor sports, especially when mountains are involved.
